Question 2:
How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of 'branding'?
Music video
out target audience is focus on a Asian teenage around 15-24. This give the effect that the story line is relate to them the most. the male protagonist attract female fans which they were looking for Oppa(handsome brother). this attract the female fans to listen to the song. and for the male fans they were attract by jeyjyy or our female protagonist
Website
the website is created to look colorful and fun which is what teenager likes.this will increase the amount of fans who visit the site which motivate them to bring more friend to come and visite the site which also will increase the amount of fans.
Digipack
when the digipack was made i set the task for he digipack itself to achieve. first of all it needs to be attractive and unique.this is why i put jeyjyy in front cover,to not only attract the female fans but the male too. secondly the digipack have to be standout compare to others digipack.this is why there's one flower in the middle of the digipack. the flower n the middle caught the buyer eyes. finally it needs to include some of the music video shots.this is why there is a ending scene in the inside cover
How the three work together
as you can see all of three media production were target in specific group which is teenager age around 15-25. the style which attract teens by using pink in the website which increase fanbase in internet will drastically increase the amount of fans because it's esy to access to a music video and website.also a music video with a typical Korean music video which focus in love story is what my target audience likes.also teenager who still stick with collecting CDs will feel very good of collecting a unique CD.this mean that these three element of production cover the whole ground which inlude the internet abd music CD shop

evaluation question1
Question1:
How do your products use or challenge convention and hoe do they represent social groups or issues
use of convention
narrative: the idea of narrative are similar to typical Korean music video. I use the same main core idea of having 2 main character like male and female protagonist which will end up knowing each other.
representation: I follow the convention of representation in term of actor role. both are in there teens and ether there are still in school or start their first year at college.
Technical code:I edit the video to have a soft light, dreamy look as what k pop music video look like.
Challenge the convention
performance: there were no dancing. this is becauase i don't want the viewer to get distract from the narrative.

mise-en-scene:the woman protagonis is nt surround with toys or flower but with alcohol drinks
Technical code: the location in the convention suppost to be amazing. my location is not amazing buti use an interesting shot such as whip pan or split screen to destravt the viewer from the not that amazing scene.

Music video
currenty i'm working with the half ending of the video because it's the scene i love the most. in this part I try to add somthing which is not in the code and cvention into the video. this is something that every video i edit will have. it's the funniness of the video. i want to make some scene that make the viewer laugh so i pack the running scene. it's the scene where one of the rapper stole the cane from the male protagonist and run away.

Filming
in the pass few week i was able to film 3-4 scene which were film in the mall and the cafe and he male protagonist house
technical problem
basically camera i use (canon 80D) just shutdown in the middle of the shoot. i have to wait for approximately 15-30 minute for it to work again. in the end I get shot i most but i need to come and reshoot again someday.later I send my 80D to maintenance but still when i try it out it still shutdown so i sold the 80D and brought a new 80D which i use in the rest of the shoot. The new one work well.
Editing
when i start editing i realize one of the code and convention of k pop music video that the set have to be big, beautiful and amazing.my set is good but can't be compare with the expensive set that tipical k pop music video have. so to compensate that i set a goal to create a interesting effects such as whip pan and split screen to distract the viewer from looking for a amazing set to look at the amazing effects instate.
dreamy look
one of the code and convention is the music video having a dreamy look. to create that i create a color matte filter in premier which increase the opacity of the video by 42%. This cause the video to look very dreamy and white. in some scene i also increase the brightness of the shot to make it suit the other shots.
the whip pan effect
One of CaseyNeistat video which release in 13 march 2017 use alot of whip pan which inspire me to create a scene with a whip pan
i pick one of the rap part because it's the fastest part in this song which suits the fast effect of whip pan.
another reason is that the rapper can't remember the lyric correctly so in the filming day i change something which end up look very good.
the whip pan shot
Split screen
split screen were use for the viewer to see the action of both protagonist in the same time. in my music video I have around 2 split screen shot.
to create a split screen first the story of both protagonist have to happen in the same time. for example when both protagonist alarm clock ring it have to ring at the same time.when the timing was right i place the shot into the same time and change the motion of the shots.

HIGH4, IU(하이포, 아이유) _ Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms
SoYou(소유), Kwon Soonil(권순일), Park Yongin(박용인)(Urban Zakapa) The Space Between(틈)
Narrative
The videos follow the basic narrative structure of a Hollywood and Korean romantic comedy/drama. The two leads find them separate at the start, either meet through serendipity or try to develop an existing relationship.
Then there is a problem that prevents the couple from getting together.
This is then resolved through the ending repeated chorus leaving the viewer with a positive or potentially positive resolution.
Representation
The protagonist within the narrative are the performers themselves.
They are typically young, stylish and urban.
Societal roles they have are either students or young professionals - their life is relatively stress free apart from their love life.
They are open to traditional romantic notions such as ‘love at first sight and fate’
Gender binary - girly girls, sensitive boys
Performance
There is a mixture:
1) Traditional to the camera direct address combined with coy inserts close-ups
2) Delivery of the narrative - no actual lip sync or performance of the song
3) A combination of the above
4) Choreographed group dancing more associated with the K-pop girl and boy bands
Mise-en-scene and location
The world these ballads take place in are gentrified, western influenced urban spaces.
Use of technology is significant - often reference to texts and electronic communication are explicit in the song and reflected in the visuals
The female performers are often surrounded by mise-en-scene usually associated with children - there’s a child like wonder around the videos..
Technical codes
The use of soft focus
The colors of often washed out with use of extreme whites to give it a dreamy quality
There is heavy use of parallel editing to reflect the two sides of the story
The editing is relatively fast pace switching between handheld and fixed shots of the protagonists but it the timing of the transitions is not necessarily dictated by the rhythm of the music.
The set very big and amazing

artist digipack research
tattoo colour
tattoo colour is a Thailand pop band
second video
first album
focus on the introduction of the artist because this is their first album. The name of the hong ser if you reverse it it will become her song, this is one of tattoo colour unique selling point in the first album. band name font is big and easy to notices so it will be easy to remember.second video
in the second album they decrease the letter size of the band name because their band is recognizable now. Position that the artist stand is nearly the same except the singer change his position from the right to more which will make it look more like a live performance position. the album name is still unique because this time they call it set8 which tricks a lot of the costume that this is their 8th album.
third alabum
in there third album things got more crazy. This time they pick their album cover based on one of their music video theme. This give a customer a vision on what they going to see in the music video which were release later when the album is on sale.
forth album
with their latest album cover they took the theme of the 1960-80. PopDad is on of my most favorite album. what they try to do is create a oldies Pop feeling but sound present. their album cover based on the color and the text i believe they got inspiration from the 1960-80 album cover. The big red text capture the buyer attention and the cream background make the band member and the album name become very interesting.

the cafe scene is a little tricky to film. this is because there will be other people in the space we film. also i want to make continuous shot so it's going to be hard to make the scene perfect in the first take.

Treatment
Treatment
1.start with both male and female protagonist waking up. both of them are very different. one use samsung another use apple, his room is dark but her room is bright. the shot will e shown with split screen to show the contrast between two. however they have somthing the same such as wake up at the same time and drink at the same time. both of them have a bad pass which will be shown be the routine that they done or their physical apparance.
2.in this part of the music video both of them is currently walking to their destination. the contrast between two is still noticeable. both of them somehow have to walk at the same diection however the timing cause both of them to not see each other.
3.one common thing that every korean music video have is a great set. however i don't have big set or enormous backdrop. so instate i plan to use more effects to compensate with the lack of big set. that's why the next shot is taking in a small cafe where the barista try to match the protagonist up together. the shot of baristas singing will be shot with whip pan to create a interesting effects between the rap part.
4.this set of shots is where the baristas sole some of protagonist belongings and give it to the opposite gender. in the final scene both the protagonist will look up and see each other for the first time.
Breaking the code and convention
thaere are some code and convention that i don't like for a reason
in my music video code and convention that were usually present in alot of k pop music video such as the female protagonist being a girly girl who stay with kid toys were scrap off. This is because I if the woman protagonist is surround with happiness the mood of female protagonist being consume by the sadness will not be there. in the other hand if she was surround by alcohol drinks it suggest that she have a bad pass or she try to overcome something such as love.

I Change the song.
let her go is a good song, it's not hard to create narrative, not hard to organised the shootout and easy to edit. however I feel that i want to push myself harder so i change the song. so i'm back to step 1 again...picking a song.
Way to find a new song/ pick a song.
For me to push myself means i have to do something i never done before, do what i don't really like and what i don't quite understand so i pick "Not spring, love or cherry blossom by IU ft HIGH4"
Reason i pick this song
1.k pop genre is new to me
2.more fun to work with something new
3.more editing skill can be add to the music video compare to let her go
4.music is actually very nice
5.i want to test myself that i can do it or not
